Scope Analytics Inc. helps the Canada Media Fund (CMF) define a system for classifying and defining a standard set of cross-channel digital media performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPI).
“We hired Robb MacDonald, President of Scope Analytics Inc., to moderate two full days of workshop activities on the topic of digital media measurement and to draft a post-workshop report, titled the Digital Media Performance Measurement Framework. The task included direct exposure to key CMF stakeholders and would require deep knowledge of the subject matter at hand. In addition, success would require fostering the spirit of collaboration and partnership. Further, we needed a consultant with direct, hands-on experience and knowledge in overcoming digital media measurement challenges, considering a wide range of factors and complexities. The Canada Media Fund (CMF) champions the creation of successful, innovative Canadian content and software applications for current and emerging digital platforms through financial support and industry research. Financial support is provided to the Canadian television and digital media industries through two streams of funding, the Experimental Stream, which encourages the development of innovative, interactive digital media content and software applications. The Convergent Stream supports the creation of convergent television and digital media content for consumption by Canadians anytime and anywhere.
In 2011-2012, the Canada Media Fund dispersed over $350 million in development and production funding, of which $40 million went toward digital media (DM) content, with the balance directed toward television.
